Supply of a 140 MVA EAF Transformer and 22.5 MVAr Reactor to the Middle East

As part of our long-standing cooperation with Shenda Transformer, which we have represented in Türkiye and the Middle East for many years, Aytekno visited Shenda Transformer’s manufacturing facilities to witness and monitor the Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) of a 140 MVA EAF transformer and a 22.5 MVAr reactor supplied for one of our customers in the Middle East.

The project involved the supply of a 140 MVA Electric Arc Furnace (EAF) Transformer with 20% overload capacity, designed to meet the high power demand and variable load requirements of steelmaking operations. The accompanying 22.5 MVAr reactor was also manufactured in accordance with the technical requirements of the project.

Following the completion of manufacturing, we attended the Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and closely monitored the testing procedures and technical inspections of both units. The test results were evaluated against the technical specifications and project requirements. Throughout this process, we maintained technical coordination with the manufacturer and followed up on the completion of all testing procedures.

Following the successful completion of the tests, the factory acceptance process for both the 140 MVA EAF transformer and the 22.5 MVAr reactor was finalized, and the equipment was delivered to our customer.

Through our long-standing cooperation with Shenda Transformer, Aytekno continues to carry out power transformer and reactor sales and supply activities in Türkiye and the Middle East. In addition to coordinating technical and commercial processes between manufacturers and customers, we also follow up on manufacturing and testing stages as an integral part of our project activities.
